QANSAS 2016 at DEI

U. International School on Quantum and Nano Computing Systems and Applications
QANSAS 2016 (November 23 – 26, 2016)

International School on Quantum and Nano Computing Systems (QANSAS 2016) was organized from November 23–26, 2016 with 24 invited speakers from top academic and research institutes including University of Waterloo,  University of Edinburgh, Columbia University, New York University, University of Washington, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bomay, IIT-BHU and of course, DEI, Dayalbagh. A special forum on ‘Integrating Eastern and Western Perspectives of Consciousness’ was organized on November 23 with Vision Talk entitled “Innovative (-Superintelligence with Spiritual-Quality and Value Based Control-) Graph Theoretic Quantum System Modelling (IGTQSM)” delivered by Revered Prof. P.S. Satsangi, Chairman, Advisory Committee on Education, Dayalbagh Educational Institutions and Plenary Talk by Prof. Rafael Yuste, Director, NeuroTechnology Center, Columbia University. The Inaugural Talk was delivered on November 24 by Prof. Craig Hogan, Director, Fermilab Center for Particle Astrophysics, University of Chicago. Workshop on Contextuality was conducted on November 25 by Dr. Joel Wallman, Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo. The Valedictory Talk on November 26 was delivered by Prof. Ian Underwood, Head, Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems, The University of Edinburgh. There were two lively Panel Discussions moderated by Mr. Prem Prashant which concluded on the note that consciousness is fuzzy superintelligence.
